A level student studying business at LMSC

About the course

A-level Business develops a strong, practical understanding of how organisations operate, compete, and make decisions in real markets. Students study how businesses are set up, financed, marketed, managed, and grown, while learning to analyse data, evaluate options, and justify decisions using real-world evidence.

At LMSC, A-level Business is taught through live, teacher-led lessons by experienced Business and Economics specialists, with a clear focus on exam technique and application. Lessons are structured around contemporary case studies, numerical analysis, and decision-making scenarios, helping students move beyond theory to confident evaluation. All live lessons are recorded, allowing students to revisit key concepts, refine exam responses, and consolidate learning.

The course follows the AQA A-level Business specification and covers core themes including business objectives and strategy, finance, marketing, operations, human resources, and external influences. Students regularly practise data-response and essay-style questions, building the skills required for high-level evaluation and clear written communication.

A-level Business is particularly well suited to students aiming for Business, Management, Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and related university degrees, as well as those considering leadership, consultancy, or enterprise-focused careers.
